I've been on Zoloft for over a year. I've never had any negative side effects from it. It does help with my anxiety - I worry much less than I did before. I think it also improves my mood. Those are the only changes I've noticed.

I've been taking it for almost a year now. I saw the symptoms of my depression fade within the first week, and by the 3rd week, I could DEFINITELY see & feel the change, and I' felt great!
The only side effects I felt were headaches for the first week & a half (they weren't even that bad either, a couple ibuprofin & I was fine) & a little bit of nausea the first week, but I never threw up or anything. I never felt jittery or anxious or suicidal at all. I actually slept better during the first month on zoloft than I have in the last yr. It was great!
I've been taking it for nearly a year now, & I'm really pleased & relieved to have had such a positive experience with it. It has helped me get my life back on track & I'm so glad it has worked to well for me.
I hope you were able to get some useful info from me. I love to help out when people are contemplating trying a new medication that I have familiarity with. I only wish people had offered me their advice a yr ago when I started taking zoloft. I'm happy to share my experience with this med with you... best wishes & God bless!
:o)

Zoloft evens out my lows, so I don't go so low. It also evens out my high's so I don't get super excited anymore (like the fans at a football game all yelling and cheering and crying) After more years than I can count, I have found my smile, I have a song in my heart and on my lips. My first thoughts on a subject are now positive, I am not easily upset or angered and not overly concerned.. I am not self-absorbed. I can care about other people. I can trust other people. People compliment me now and want to be around me. I have genuine friends for maybe the first time in my adult life. I'm no longer emotionally "needy". My emotions don't control me. I'm not afraid.
And, I have hope.
It's not ALL Zoloft, there is therapy, and faith, and family too, I share with you here the cumulative outcome I never had before I was prescribed this antidepressant. It saved my life.

I take it and it's helped me a lot with depression and anxiety. Having said that, like other SSRIs, zoloft may work really well on one person, make another person sleepy, and not effect a 3rd person either way. If a doctor is being honest, they'll tell you a lot of times finding the right anti-depressants can be trial-and-error process.

I take 200 mg daily. I think it helps control depression for me. By that I mean that I think I still have down periods -- sometimes pretty bad -- but not as bad as without the stuff, and clearing up reasonably soon -- much sooner than without the stuff.
I think it caused some sleepiness and fatigue at first, but I think that cleared up ini a couple of weeks.
It seems to have some potential for withdrawal problems -- nowhere near as bad as Effexor, but given my experiences when going off it, I'd recommend tapering off.
I can't say it prevents migraines, but I used to get them and don't get them on Zoloft.
I can't offer much about sexual side effects -- most of these drugs have some, but I have enough problems that I can't tell.
There is no euphoria or positive feeling from the drug that I can see, just an easing of the bad times.

I take zoloft, and have been fairly happy with it ;). I take it for depression and OCD, and it seems to work.
The side effects are not terrible. I don't get sleepy at all from it, but I gained some weight.

I take Zoloft(100mg) for about a month now and I feel MUCH better from my depression. I was on Lexapro the Effexor before my Dr. put me on 'Loft. I'm like 90% happier with myself, not as angry, guilty, WAY more energized, and WAY more attentive.
It's like life in a pill----literally

I took zoloft for my anxiety disorder. at first, it was great because i didnt have any panic attacks or anything. then in a few months.. i got into drugs and got into a lot of trouble with my parents because i snuck out a lot. I think it made me not care about myself or my body because i didnt give a crap about what i did.. lol
i switched to Prozac and ive been on it ever since! =]
