what prayer makes you feel the most at peace? what prayer makes you feel the closest to God? if you say one that you've made up i'd like to hear it. or if you say a prayer that is widely known i'd like to know what it is. thanks a lot.

To pray in faith, trusting & obeying. Being honest from my heart as to what my concerns may be, etc... I listen for the answer.
God would have us pray to God in Spirit & Truth. Also is written to build up your most holy faith, praying in the Spirit...
There are many things going on in each individuals life & in the world around us, as the world is getting smaller it seems. So, I pray what is on my mind or my concern at the moment & am open to pray 24/7 whater the circumstances.
Then there is the prayer Jesus taught us to pray. My Father, who is in Heaven, Hollowed be thy Name, Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread (also spiritual bread) & forgive us our trespasses/debts, as we forgive others who trespass against us. And lead us not unto temptation, but deliver us from evil. And to thee be all glory, power & praise & Thine be the Kingdom & the Power & the Glory forever. Amen.

Prayer is not to be memorize. It will come direct from your heart and mind which you want to express and ask to God.It should not be repeatedly said and stated because God know what you want to say to him before uttering it to him. The prayer which is widely known and is always being offered by them to God by the Catholics are not realy prayers, like the Holy Mary .... Hail Mary and I believe in God ..... Those are praises not actually prayers.

The courage to change the things I can
And the wisdom to know the difference

Who shaped the Universe
Who is worthy of worship
Who is the embodiment of Knowledge
Who is the destroyer of Ignorance
May He enlighten our minds.)
Asato Ma:
"Om asato ma sadgamaya

Lead me from darkness to light.
Lead me from death to immortality.)
