Some years back I did a search on the internet for "What is truth?". One of the results was this profound essay that used a pyramid (if I remember correctly) to explain the different perceptions that we have of truth, right and wrong and religion.
The author pointed out that if you looked at the pyramid from the top it looked like a square, and if you looked at it from the side, it was a triangle. In the end though we were all looking at the same thing.
I wanted to share this with my daughters, but all my searches have not found it yet.
Can anyone point me in the right direction, please?

The essay that I am looking for is a discussion on people's perception of truth. Very much like the blind men who felt different parts of an elephant and had different perceptions of what it was. I hope I can find it because if we all could read it, our understanding of each other would be greater.

I will certainly let you knwo when I find it.

The verification of truth is beyond our reach because our senses are very faulty and limited. For example, there is matter and energy around us that the human senses (and human technology) cannot perceive, and there is matter completely out of our reach to understand. So, how can we ultimately know truth while in this body?
I believe that you sincerely seek out truth in an uncompromising way, being willing to accept what you find. When you find it, still remain open that there is more to know. So, your truth becomes your truth. Nothing wrong with sharing your truth with others, it is certainly more meaningful than many things we attend to in our society. I am a Christian, and my truth is based on faith. That is how I found what is true to me. It's good that truth is important to you, take care.

I wish I could find that site but I believe it. I know everyone says that Jesus is the truth but all these people argue about which religion has the truth and which has the proper translation of the Bible. They can't all be 'The Truth' but there is enough truth there to make a religion out of obviously. There are so many ways to interpret just about every scripture. In the end, it is what you believe that matters. If Jesus wants to make it more clear to his people, I'm sure that he can come here in person to explain if he wants to. How many people would believe him? That depends on perception.

Pilate asked the same question before he handed Jesus over to be crussified in John 18:38. The truth is God loves you and has sent his son to pay for your ticket into heaven. 2 Corinthians 5:10 says " we all must apear before the judgemnet seat" but verse 18 says " God reconciled us to himself through Christ" How? you might ask, verse 21 says "God made him who had no sin to be sin so that we might become righteous..." So now what? Acts 2:19 says "repent and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out."

God has the only truth, and God is truth, no philosophy of man can make truth clear, if you want your daughters to know truth, introduce them to Jesus.

Dude. The truth is the truth. What kinda question is that??? You know what truth is. The real question is, "Are the things that you percieve as true actually true?"
What is truth? Good Lord.

truth is an illusion...what is truth to me may not be truth to you...it is only about experience, constant change..."each one of us has thus an universe of his own, but it is the same universe for each one as soon as it includes all possible experience. this implies the extension of consciousness to include all other consciousness."
