Well, I just got an HD TV. For some reason, it's has over 150 channels

All our other TV's only have about 40 channels, we signed a contract for basic cable

Is this supposed to happen o.O???

I don't mind the extra channels :D, I'm just wondering why

Call your cable provider and see what plan you have.

Many (most) cable/satellite providers give you a more expensive package FREE for the first 3 months hoping you'll either want to keep the upgrade or forget it's there....until your bill comes in the mail and you have a $100 payment due.

Same thing happend to me kinda. We had 4 tvs all have about 78 channels. Then we got a 50 inch HDTV so we called (bright house) and they told us that our bill would be like $20 dollars more a month and we get 180 channels or so. Which I think is kina obserd. Then they said that after 1 YEAR the price raises like $10-20 dollars.

So YES it is supposed to happen.

SIT BACK AND ENJOY. JUST MAKE SURE YOU KNOW WHAT AND HOW MUCH YOU ARE PAYING , AND NO HIDDEN COSTS .
