Is a tattoo of my zodiac sign a good idea?

im trying to decide what i should get for a tattoo

I'm a guy, i wanna get a scorpion on my arm since im a scorpio

I say if it's your own design then go for it... I strongly disapprove of picking one out of the book... getting a regular sign tattooed is like getting your own name tattooed.. or a pair of glasses if you get any... thats my take on it.. it's kinda weird to get signs like that... are you really that much into astrology? I think a tatt should be more personal than that.. anyone that sees it will know when you were born. The first thought that passed my head when I see sign tatts is wtf?? why would someone do that? minds well put a self pic on their arm.. typically sign tatts are an indication of wanting a tat with out putting much thought into it.. However, if you were to design it your self then that's cool... I wish I would see tatted signs that looked original like they actually did it.. But how will people actually know it's your design??? All in all we all have opinions... do what you want and be happy with it.

I think zodiac signs are awesome as tattoos.

They are one thing about you that will never change (unlike relationships or nick names, etc.).

I have often thought about getting mine - Libra, the scales - but I may pass just because I already have 4 tatts and I want to stop at 5 (and I already have my 5th one in mind).

I would think that would be fine but make sure you've thought long and hard before you do it. Once its on there, its on there forever.

I have four tattoo's myself, that I helped design because I wanted to make sure that what I was about to get put into my skin was exactly what I wanted.

So just take time to decide before you do it is all. Good luck!!

Just keep this in mind...you will be stuck with it forever.

If you feel that you are connected to your zodiac sign, and truly understand what it stands for, then yes, get your part of the zodiac on you.

Before you get any tattoo, make sure it's something that you won't be embarrassed of when your 50 or 60 years old. Also, please read the article I list in source to get well-informed about tattoos.

get a tattoo that you love as soon as you see it...it doesnt really matter what others think about it, because it is on your body not theirs, and personally i think that the way zodiac signs look as tattoos is a bit worn out but amazing...get something that you will want on your body for the rest of your life....because to have it removed later will cost you about 3x more than the tattoo originally did.....

and how old are you? one major thing you should think about b4 getting a tatoo is .... are you going to want this 5, 10 , 15 + yrs from now? it may sound cool and "in" right now but please think about your future. i have many times thought about getting a small tatoo but i am dedicated to the red cross and giving blood 4 times a year ... by getting a tatoo i couldn't and helping others is more important to me thnt getting something personal inked on me that i will have to live with the rest of my life. please really think this over.
