In Genesis 12:10-16 Abraham pimped his wife/half sister to the Egyptian Pharaoh for security and profit. Is this the king of sick twisted religion you want to embrace for yourself or one you'd like to raise your children in?

While your wording was indelicate, your interpretation of the passage is basically correct. You haven't lied. And you should not have been accused of doing so. Abram misled Pharaoh & the Egyptians to keep them from discovering that he was married to the beautiful woman he was traveling with. Based on this deception, Pharaoh took Sarai to marry her himself. It's unclear whether this was ever consummated, but nonetheless, Abram made out like a bandit.

Such ethics are no longer tolerated in Western culture, although it is the sort of thing that extremely powerless people who fear the powerful still do unto this day & age. Abram's story suggests a level of desperation that most of us have never experienced, and a level of power we have never had to face. It shows Abram as a bit slimy, but in the face of starvation, he found a way to survive.

The Bible states the facts of people and their actions as they are--however ugly they may be.
God made people with the ability to make choices - both good and bad. And the Bible stories just record the choices people have made. It's not that God CONDONES these wrong actions, they just show what's in the human heart.

You know..if you actually read the bible..we could have an intelligent discussion about it.

Everything you said in your "question" is lies.
