So, the defense the Christians so far have given me to my last question is that "Well, that part of the Old Covenant", so I want to ask a question to those people; wasn't, you know, the whole "Banishment from the Garden of Eden" part of the Old Covenant as well? So, if the Old Covenant no longer matters, then why can't we go back into the garden of Eden yet?

The Covenant was an agreement between GOD and man. The Banishment from Eden thing wasn't part of the Covenant. It's just something that happened. Much like Moses parting the Red Sea wasn't part of the Covenant, it was just something that happened.

As for those morons that said the Old Covenant was irrelavant now: Says who? You? You're crusty old preacher. Ha! You clearly do not understand the Bible.

The garden is in the old Testament, but its not any part of Gods covenant. God did not make a covenant with man until Abraham. Abraham did not live until many years after the flood. I take it the earthly garden of Eden was destroyed in the flood. The garden is now in Gods realm, Heaven.

The reason is because we are not perfect. There will never be another Garden of Eden while the Earth is as corrupt as it is. Why should we have a Garden of Eden if no one here is with out sin? Don't you ever watch movies? Whenever there is a Utopia made there is always something corrupt that comes out of it.

No, that was not part of the covenant, it would be a consequence of a certain behavior, that behavior was wanting to be the same as God. However, Adam and Eve and the banishment is an attempt to explain suffering and death. It is a STORY, not HISTORY and not HERSTORY either.
