It was brown/auburn when I had it bleached at a salon. Which messed my hair up pretty bad, but that was about 6 months ago..now that it is healthy and basically my nature color i want to dye it back to the brown auburn color I had before going to that salon. Just dont want to ruin my hair.

Start out with Clairol's "Loving Care". It's a gentle hair color without peroxide or ammonia in it, and if you decide you don't like the color, it washes out in a few shampoos. Later on, you can try more permanent colors, such as "Nice N Easy" or L'Oreal's "Preference", once you find a shade you really like. Those last about three or four months.

auburn because it changes when in light and in the dark and when it fades it give your hair a natural two toned look. Brown hair and blond highlight is kind of dull and is so yesterday.

Is your hair naturally blonde or bleached/lightened? If it is bleached/highlighted then in order to dye it brown, you will first need to put red in it otherwise you will end up with green hair.
