I turned 13 at the beginning of May and have had a boyfriend for about 2 months. It's pretty great! Just keep in mind, if you want as few hurt feelings as possible, don't let your relationship interfere with friendships, and also, the guy also has personal boundaries and IS a guy (e.g. he has to impress his friends, so he might not be as affectionate to you when he's around them). Just be understanding, make it last if it's really worth your time, and love!
Edit: I second almost everyone who's posted an answer so far, critical or otherwise.

You're 15 years old and have never been on a date with this guy, and he "loves" you? That's a lot of pressure and already moving way too quickly.
Having a boyfriend is different for every person and in every relationship.
Think of it as this, very generally: A boyfriend is someone who is one of, if not the, best friend you have, with whom you also share a physical attraction/closeness. In a good, real relationship, you share a unique, special bond.

I absolutely love my boyfriend.
He's pretty much the closest person to me in my life and I don't know what I'd do without him.
Having a boyfriend means someone you can get close to, someone that will be there and care for you and kiss you and hug you when you need it most.
He should be there for you always. It's like having a very best friend, only a guy, that makes your life worth living.
Even through the harder times, like fights, disagreements, worse things, you can find a way through it if you can trust and communicate and want to try.
Having a boyfriend is just one more good thing in life.

Sweetheart, don't expect the moon to fall and the stars to shoot across the sky. How old is this guy who you "thinks" loves you? Older? More experience?
Be very careful when going out with the boys. Unless you have a very special boy to go out with, he will put tons of pressure on you for different things. Be fully ready to say "no" time after time. Be strict, keep your eyes open, your brain in gear and you will learn quickly what dating is all about. Good luck. Pops

Well i am the same age and i have only dated about 2 people and the one who loves you might not be a good idea because i went there and he was creepy and was a bad kisser, dancer, sweaty, and wasn't that smart. So don't settle it's not a good idea im going through the same thing you are right now and all i can say is you should wait until one comes along. Don't settle

Things being equal, you will soon have the answer to your question. You say that you are planning on asking a guy who loves you out.Without knowing how you know that this boy loves you,and since you are just 15 as you pointed out,I suggest that you just try to be friends for now.

bondage...but its like good bondage...u cant really live that independant care-free life, because ur boyfriend is there. Dont get me wrong, he'll b fabulous, but boyfriends are time consuming, and sometimes they can distract u from ur priorities. U dont need a bf right now, because most of the guys ur age are just hitting puberty and really wont love u and really care for you as a young man should care for and treat a young lady...

Kelly, you are 15 years old. You don't need a boyfriend at this stage in the program. Just have friends, lots of friends, boy & girl. You have plenty of time do the road to do the boyfriend thing.

It all depends on the boy..If he's nice, treats you with respect, and not looking to get into your pants..That's a great start!
You're only 15 years old..You have lots of time to get serious..Now is the time to just enjoy yourselves and have fun..But having fun also means being good friends to each other..And hanging out with your friends as well, go to the movies together, bowling, skating ..walks..whatever..McDonald's.., doing things together that make you laugh, think, enjoy each others company, holding hands can be fun, but remember to have lots of fun, BUT! don't get too serious.....
Good luck Sweetie!

Hmmm! You are age 15 and planning on asking out a guy who "loves" you? Why don't you wait awhile and get someone to teach you how to differentiate between love and infatuation?
