Well I went to JC penny salon and asked if I could get my hair straightened. They told me that they can give me a relaxer. Since my hair isnt completely curly just a little bit at the ends kinda. They said that it would last maybe up to 6 months on me. What can I expect from the results what do they do. Will it look perfectly straight?

No im not african american im of mexican origin. I just want straighter hair. I dont want to use a straigtener everyday. Im going for an emo cut so yeah.

It depends on your hair, I used to get relaxers and it made my hair wavey so I would flat iron it to get it straighter. So before you get a relaxer do not scratch your scalp or wash your hair at least 72 hrs before you go to the salon. Or else the relaxer is going to burn your head, it takes about 25 mins for the relaxer to sit on your hair. Then it's rinsed out and shampooed. Next they put conditioner on your hair for 20 mins they might put you under a hair dryer. After they rinse that out, they blow dry it and then straighten it. It may look straight but you would have to maintain the straightness with heat. But it all depends on how your hair will react to the relaxer.

Don't scratch your head the day before you get it done. Wherever you scratch you run the risk of your head burning when the relaxer is applied. I have to ask, are you african-american?

It will look perfectly straight when you come out from the hairdresser's. As soon as you wash it, it will get 'bigger' but it will still be straight, it will just be kind of puffier.

no!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! dont!!!!!!!!!! IM A GIRL AND i got it relaxed and ever since my hair is falling out!! i regret doing it!! if only i could change back time.........anyway, dont...if you dont listen to me or believe me, go ahead and do it, but the consequences are bad!!!!
