Like I've said in other questions I'm bringing in a girl kitten maybe 3 1/2 to 4 months old. This will be her first time in a house besides the many times she has tried to run in. Will she adjust easily? She is pretty well behaved.

Try keeping her in a quiet room for awhile, well supplied with all her needs - litter box, fresh food and water, toys, and a nice big window so she can see out. Visit her often and play with her - if your bedroom is such a room, use that, so you can spend nights with her. That way you won't risk her dashing back outside and getting lost when someone opens the door, and she can feel acclimate to the rest of the house gradually, after she bonds with you. After a few months, she may no longer want to be outside. If she does seem sad about staying in, though, you can get one of these Kittywalk outdoor cat runs so she can enjoy the outdoors without getting away from you.

You are wise to keep your cat indoors. Indoor cats live MUCH longer, healthier lives!!!

If she's that young she has a really good chance of adjusting just fine. Actually at any age they do. We've brought it cats from the streets & they were already over a few yrs. old. Minor hissing (to be expected of course) but we're all one big happy family now.
