I have a program that is uninstalled from the computer but it is still listed in add/remove programs and I can't reinstall the driver software because the computer still 'sees' it. Tried the 'Safe Mode' removal and no luck. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Hello: I hope somebody answer your question, because I have exactly the same trouble with my PC, with Windows Vista Home Premium. I installed a Microsoft Life CamVX-300, but the driver was not compatible with Windows Vista, I found the rigth driver from Microsoft, but I had to removed the driver that was installed before with the PnP tool "DelInf32", but still remains in the "Add or Removed Programs". I have tried everything, but still stays in there and I can not use the Web Cam, and nobody has answered my question yet. Please give me a call if you find an answer. Thank you .
Good Luck

it's stuck in your registry. personally i wouldn't worry too much about it, you could look into geting a registry cleaning utility. or do what elf says.

Re-install it and then un-install it again.

Sounds crazy, but usually works!!!
