They love God in His own image. They can't see God full of piercings and scars.

Maybe that disturbs those who think of Jesus instead....

I don't judge you harshly because you do tattoos, etc. But The Bible says:

Leviticus 19:28 - "Do not cut your bodies for the dead or put tattoo marks on yourselves. I am the lord."

Of course, The Bible also says women should keep quiet in church, and that homosexuality is an abomination. Yet, even though I am a Christian, I am all for women equality and gay rights.

Some people judge me harshly because of this, so I guess you and I have something in common.

Peace be with you.

Because they are not true Christians and because you are different from them.

God has given me three words over the past month regarding worship. They are:

1. All worship is acceptable to God as long as it comes from the heart.

2. A believer needs to have a personal relationship with God in order to spend eternity in His presence.

3. I am not to try to tell anyone else how they must worship or what they must believe. (i.e. the world does not need more religions.)

Unfortunately, there are many people who grew up in the mind set that damaging your body by piercings and tattoos are a sign of being a rebel. I don't think you are doing anything wrong. Its between you and God, not anyone else. Keep doing it if you feel it brings you closer to Him.

I had a buncha tatoos done when I was younger but it wasn't until God had placed these verses upon me that I realized exactly what I was doing to "his body" not my body..after all he gave you your body and the choice of what you do to/with it as well as what you do to others...Defiling could even be broken down to overeating, drug addictions,..but basically you know whats good and not good for your body if you use it in the context of church...you wouldn't spray paint your church with grafitti would you?Hope it helps...

"Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own?" (1 Cor. 6:19).
1 Corinthians 3
16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

Proverbs 3:5-6,
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight,"
And that would mean "the bible" not how you feel about the im ok your ok lets be happy and love god....lean not on your own understanding but God and his word....

Martin Luther, one of the key people of the Protestant Reformation, said that whatever work we are called to do, priestly or not, done to the best of our ability, gives glory to God.

So, do good art, be sanitary, polite, honest & fair with your colleagues & your clients, don't cheat on your taxes, etc... if tatoos & piercings are your calling, give glory to God. :~)

How is praying rosarys giving money or peircing your body showing love?
Love is 1 Cor. 13
4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8Love never fails.

ooh what's wrong with what you do? I think you are doing an honorable job. You supporting yourself? You taking responsibility for your actions? Do you honestly think that tattooing someone sends you to hell? Did you know that in ancient times ppl tattoo themselves to show honor and their religion.
I would think you are doing what you were given to do and who really cares about what anyone else thinks?
People want to be pierced, people want to be tattooed, it's an ancient tradition. Go with it. Believe in God your way and you will be happier for it.

Christians are often judgmental when it comes to things they disagree with. Funny coming from the religion whose savior preached "Judge not, lest ye be judged" huh?
