There is none. The concept of soul is badly misunderstood. All the soul is is the life force in a creature. We do not have a soul as a separate entity. We are not a "ghost in a machine". Read Aristotle; he is the one that came up with the concept.

God is Spirit.
Man is a spirit, who possesses a soul and lives in a body.
Man is spiritually dead, cut off from God through sin.
He has a soul that is alive only to the natural world but dead to God because of a spirit estranged to God by sin.
Jesus Christ said this:
"I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again."
"How can a man be born when he is old?" Nicodemus asked. "Surely he cannot enter a second time into his mother's womb to be born!"
Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. You should not be surprised at my saying, 'You must be born again.' '
John 3:3-7
In accordance with the will of God, Jesus Christ, the Son of God came down from heaven died on the cross to bear the penalty of man's sin so that he could be forgiven and reunited with God.
When we are willing to repent of our sin, turn to God in believing prayer, and ask Him to forgive us our sins for Christ's sake, the barrier between us and God is removed and we are able to become children of God. The Holy Spirit causes us to become spiritually born again, so that we can again have a relationship with the true God.
Then begins the process of "putting off" the old man (what you were) and putting on the new man; that is, beginning to live like a child of God, in faith, love and humility. It is the Word of God, the Bible, and especially the New Testament which will bring about this change most quickly and thoroughly.
If you have not taken this step of faith please do not delay.
Eternity is only a heartbeat away.
Heaven and Hell are at stake.

a spirit
(yours, as in part of you is a spirit. human=soul+body+spirit)
if you mean "what does this phrase mean?", it means that you have to have a relationship with God, commune with eachother and be able to trust eachother: He can trust you to do what is right, and you trust Him to be God.
