If you want to save people the best way to do it would be a trauma surgeon.
However if you want a field where you will have the most impact on someones life....think about oncology. Cancer can be one of the most frightening and debilitating diseases. Having a good physician by your side can make a world of difference.

I'd say a paedatrician. Helping a child will change the rest of their life.

I personally think that it is different for every person, but in my personal opinion it would have to be a OBGYN. They bring in a life into your world, and make everybody in your family that is involved with you change.
