Humping or mounting is a dominance related trait. I would assume your dog sees the monkey as part of your "pack" and asserts his dominace over him. Don't worry, he's not strange or crazy but he might benefit from socializing with a few more dogs ... ;-)

Is your dog fixed? Not that it matters, my dog tries to hump my cat all the time... With his "pink thing" out and every thing...
Just be glad his attention is focused on the monkey and not your leg or pillows. Get the dog fixed if he isn't already and that may cure the problem.

Lose the monkey and this is common. Really no harm done here...but if it makes you uncomfortable...lose the love monkey. :)

Better that he is mounting the monkey rather than mounting you!

Is there a question here? Your dog is horny. He obviously doesn't have a girl dog around. The only way to get him to stop that is to have him neutered.
