HOW! do you tell a guy friend you like them MORE then a friend?

at school this guy (who is my friend) he always acts mean to mein front of his friends but he also calls me and askes me to go out AS FRIENDS! but my guy friends tell me he flirts with me A LOT

how do i tell him i like him? when/ where?

just flirt and smile and stuff he outta get the hint.. make a little comment here and there - like dang look at your muscles. or something.
