NO! How dare you say such a thing?!! They can't help who they love or who they are! It's not their fault! Why burn them at the steak for being who they are!? If they were then I'd lose my aunts, the love of my life (i'm not lesbian, he's bi), and the kindest person in the world! That's horrible to even suggest that! They're people too! That's like saying should we burn people at the steak for having blond hair or green eyes? I know it's in the bible, but, jesus, you can't kill someone for loving!

Do I believe that gays or lesbians should be burned at the stake, tried, or persecuted for their sexual orientation?No, I do not. But to comment on the people's answers above about sin and God, it is written in the Torah (part of the Old Testament written by Moses), in the book of Leviticus, that any person to engage in any homo-sexual act is to be immediately taken out of camp and stoned to death. Pretty harsh, huh? Just additional information to get people thinking :)

For committing what crime? Also why stop there why not burn people that murder others, thieves, people that commit adultery, people that bare false witness for or against someone, people that hate anyone even sinners cause hating someone is a form of judging them, any one that consumes pork or pork products, anyone who doesn't follow the old testament, and pedophiles(which are people that actually commit a sin then any homosexual could ever.)

Perhaps you should use a dictionary and look up the meaning of the word "heresy". Sexual orientation is not heresy.

Only if the laws of your state specify that these are capital offense crimes punishable by execution.
AND
Only if burning at the stake is the legal method of execution in your state.
Granted... it's a ridiculous answer...
