Why do they say they're athiests and try to make out that they're good people? Why would a good person worship satan? And why would an athiest believe in satan? None of it makes sense.

LaVeyan Satanists (aka Church of Satan) ARE atheists. They follow Satan's example of having no higher authority than themselves. They do not worship Satan. They do not even believe that Satan is an actual entity. They base their lives around what he symbolizes -- to them, he represents freedom, knowledge, and indulgence.
There are Satanists (aka Diabolators, Luciferians, etc) that do believe in and worship Satan -- although their idea of Satan pre-dates (at least in written record) the Christian concept. Their ideas are usually more Pagan than related to the Judeo-Christian structure.
There are no Satanists that sacrifice virgins and drink the blood of infants.

Satan is the father of all lies so it would be natural for a satanist to lie. Like Satan, they disguise themselves as atheists so they will be more accepted and able to lead others astray. Obviouslu, good people do not worship Satan, not do true athiests believe in Satan as they do not believe in anything except perhaps science.

Satanism, as most of my fellow answerers have already stated, do not actually worship Satan. They actually worship themselves. They honor themselves before all else and live for themselves. As for why they call themselves Satanic, I do not know. Most of the people who follow that religion and actually understand it are generally nice people, but they have different priorities than most others. Like vampires(yes, I DID say VAMPIRES{ask me in an email if you wish}), they are everywhere but nowhere, meaning there are more Satanists than you would expect-you may know one!

Are you saying that because someone does not believe in God then he must be a satanist? How curious to draw such a conclusion. This is the basic supposition of Islamic extremism, that is ' you do not believe in the teachings of the prophet therefore you are a satanist.
Are you a satanist? Obviously you must be by this definition.
Perhaps you should open your view of the world and start to carefully examine your own belief system. I think you will be truely dismayed by what you find.

You are pronouncing that his life is obvious to all, however it isn't. If it was once, everybody could feel in God. You are the liar, since I have in no way visible any proof. Also, labeling non christians as Satanist and pronouncing perception in God saves you from his possess wrath makes your faith seem like a cult.

Satanists are atheists...they do not believe in god or Satan...Anton LaVey used the term Satanist to irritate christians...I know a few Satanists so I know what I'm talking about....and the ones I know are good people...

they are confused.
they are called satanists yet they claim not to worship satan. then why call yourself "SATANists"?
they say they do not believe in God, but they took the idea of satan from the Bible, the Word of GOD.
for me i think satanism, is basically rebelling against God's commandments, and following the evil desires

Actually, satanists don't worship anything. They use satan as a symbol of anarchy and counter-culture.
Though, more times than not, it's pretty much a gathering for goths and S&M afficionados.

I am a Christian and I love my God deeply!!!!
I dislike ignorance on any level of race or religion and such....
Allow people their rights to live how they want to without conditions....God gave us the ability to choose him or walk away from him....
Treat all people with equality and compassion....no matter what....some how somewhere inside we all have something good about us no matter our faith....
It doesn't matter if an atheist believes in Satan or not....why worry about it? they are not going out of their way to attack you....
Practice God's love, Mercy and understanding.....this only fuels anger....

my dear dear man, satanists don't necessarily worship the devil, that is a very common misconception. look up Satanist 101, and you'll see they do not worship the devil, they are not evil. they are basically atheists. although, admittedly there are people who call themselves Satanists who do worship satan.
