Whether you are or not depends on which religion you believe in. However, I don't think God is spending his time concerned about your driving habits on a sabbath.

If you think that driving is a violation of the Law of the Sabbath then you should have stopped on Friday night at sundown. That is when the Sabbath started not at midnight tonight... Jim

Yes, BUT that depends on what you believe.
The concept of driving as work comes from a law that you shall not create a spark on the sabbath, and turning on the car might do just that.
There are cases where observant people get someone else to turn on the car and then drive themselves. You could always try that, but maybe not at midnight.

According to the Bible, the Sabbath begins at sundown on Fri. night and ends sundown Sat. night. The fourth commandment tells us not to work on the seventh day Sabbath. Ex. 20 It's our special time to remember our Creator.

Ah. The Bible's MOST-ignored of the Ten Commandments. I'll bet that fewer than 1% of Judeo-Christians obey it. The question is, though, does it even have relevance anymore? Since (unless someone can prove that I simply missed it), all of the other nine Commandments are repeated in the New Testament. But I don't think that THAT one is.
So if it's no longer of concern to God, why should it be of concern to anyone else?

Yes, Sabbath starts at sundown, not midnight.
But it's only a sin if you are a Jew.
