They charge you for everything, my uncle wants to get married, (I don't know WHY!) and the priest charged him 160 dollars... they beg you for money everytime they can saying that "the curch needs money to acomplish its mission on earth" But the priests with high positions drive very expensive cars... they got almost all the private schools and I don't know why their schools are the most expensive... In a normal catholic school you have to pay 300 dollars for elemantary school and in high school almost 500 dollars per month. and they never help the poor, they have some dingy schools for the poor and that's all, in their best schools only the ones who can pay are in them... I was in catholic schools all my childhood and I hated it, they foce you to pray and to practice their religion, and if you don't want to, they discriminate you

And talking about history:
Who do you think that surrendered Puebla in the Mexican- American war?
A priest! They told to the people " If someone kills an American, he will go to hell" they did this because the government wanted to cancel they special rights(they were too many)
They helped France when France attacked us....
They started an uprising in the capital when the mexican army left to fight against yours
etc, etc, etc, etc

I was a catholic for a long time and I did not understand them. When I asked questions, they would answer by saying "That is the way it is". I go to a christian church now and I give my 10 percent because that what is in the bible. The catholic church has added rules that are not mentioned in the Bible. Jesus says in the bible, in
Matthew 24:11
"and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people."
That is why I like my pastor. He only teaches what is in the bible. Also
'John 3:5-7"Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. 6 Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. 7 You should not be surprised at my saying, 'You must be born again.'

The Code of Canon Law #848 states:
The minister is to seek nothing for the administration of the sacraments beyond the offerings defined by competent authority, always taking care that the needy are not deprived of the assistance of the sacraments because of poverty.
This means that the bishop of the diocese may set standard fees or 'offerings,' but all fees must be waived for the poor. This also means that fees can change from diocese to diocese.
These fees are used to pay the costs of running the parish like paying for electricity.
With love in Christ.

So? who says you must go to a Catholic school or even get married in a Catholic church. There are alternatives.
It seems you rant for the sake of it, not because you have anything against the Catholic Church.

Can't comment with any real knowledge on 99% of your "rant" but 160 seems pretty reasonable for any type of minister at a wedding. I believe that traditionally in any "western" religion (by that i mean baptist, episcopalian, etc) a wedding ceremony is considered above their normal duties, thus the extra charge. I got married with a justice of the peace but I'm pretty sure others will back what i am saying.

I think you don't want to pay your own way..life is not free and it cost money for school and to get married..
You don't have to go to catholic school..go to public school.
There is cheaper places to get married too..this is your Uncles choice....free will....How does the Catholic Church discriminate against you? I think you just don't understand that the church has to depend on the donations of the people to keep their doors open..they do not get money from the taxes people pay to the government.
Sad to say. Churches and church schools are closing because of lack of money to keep them open.

ok what is your question,
i want to tell you to leave religion now
we were not meant to follow and laws or religion
come to christs cross, and accept him and believe in him Love him truly and seek his word and you know he is the word. make sure that you and God have a good relationship and if these people are playing religion then dont bother to participate on any of there works.

Is that why they're so rich!?I don't like the confession part.Confess to a 'priest' and do it again and again.Meanwhile he knows ever dirty thing about you.I'd be nervous as heck around him.The only one that can save you is Jesus.
