spaceball.gif means the image is being protected from being viewed by other users once it is downloaded.. It's an intentional feature programmed by the users. The purpose is to prevent you from copying their images.

"Spaceballs" is a 1987 film by Mel Brooks, often considered a (small) comic masterpiece. I have no idea if that's relevant, but it's true.
However, the question Sourced below is probably relevant:
Q. How can I save a picture from flickr, in it's full size, to my computer. I always end up with "spaceball"...
A. right click your mouse and then click save as

The answer may be poor (or not), but at least the Q shows somebody having the problem for ALL pix, not just those connected to the movie!
