Your orthodontist will tell you approximate length of treatment, as well as the cost.

Price depends on where you live... here in New Jersey, they are over $4000.00 and usually you can make payments over the duration of treatment. If you have dental health coverage, you may be reimbursed a portion of the expense -- again, someone at the Orthodontists office should be asking for your insurance information to help you determine if there is any coverage.

The length of treatment depends on just how crooked your teeth are, as well as how well you comply with your treatment instructions - such as wearing the rubber bands as much as you are supposed to. After the braces come off, you have to wear retainers for a couple years to keep the teeth from shifting out of alignment again.

The prices for braces varies greatly depending on what needs to be done. I suggest going to a orthodontist and getting a free price evaluation. You usually need them for a couple of years, again depending on your teeth. Having said that, mine cost around $3000

It will differ quite a lot. For what it is worth, my orthdontist charges £2600 for a full set (upper and lower) of metal braces. That is $5138.

The time you have to wear them will differ based on what needs to be fixed. Only your orthodontist can give you an accurate time, but the general average is 2 years.

the quote i got was about $5000. that includes the clear porcelain hardware and all the follow-up visits. it also includes anchors into my upper incisors that help straighten the teeth out faster.
the time frame was 18 months. 2 years if i didn't get the anchors. but it depends on how bad you're teeth are. i just have an overbite but my teeth are straight. all that stuff factors into how long it will take.

Mines cost me $5000 in No Ca, w/no insurance, and wore them for 2 1/2 years (a year long than estimated but wasn't charged additional). But it varies from dentist to dentist and depends on your area. =)

I paid $7000 for Invisalign. They were very new at the time, so they were more expensive. I live in the Chicago area. I wore them full time for two years. My teeth were not really bad to start with.
