No, the cat food will not bother your dog, but make sure that your cat does not start eating dog food. My cat got in the habit of that and developed uncontrollable diarrhea. It took quite some time and a lot of money to get her well again.

thats funny, i ran out of dogfood, and petsmart was closed by the time i could get more. my dog is happily munching on the cats food as i type. its never made him sick, but i dont think i would want to make it his main diet. i also have a cat that eats the dogs food. go figure!(lol)

my boyfriend's dog used to eat a lot of cat food coz he was picky and the dog liked it so much. i personally dont think its bad but not great either. he may not be getting all the necessary nutrients he need from food that's made for a completely different species.

Cat food is higher in protein than dog food and is not suitable for long term use in dogs. Avoid feeding it to dogs. Dog food is higher in carbohydrates than cat food and cats don't do well either eating dog food.

If my dog comes across my cat's food, she tries to eat as much as she can really fast. It gives her diarreah, so try to keep it out of her reach, but sometimes we just forget. It probably doesn't affect some dogs, but it gives my pup a tummyache.

No, my dog and my cat eat each other's food all the time. They might have different complexes in the food to benefit each animal's respective digestive system or fur/teeth/etc, but in the end it's just pet food and it's not harmful for either pet.
