No sweets,no bread, nothing with sugar. no chips no salt as it holds water. Soda pop has 30 mills of salt plus 8 table spoons of sugar so if you must drink soda pop try diet read how many carbs on the back of can.Try push up's 20 each the next day try 20 sit up's.
Low carbs you can eat all the meat you want yes a whole turkey and you will loose weight just no bread sticky sauce's.
You can pick up low carb booklet at store for about 2 dollars.
The hard thing is keeping it off after you loose it.

Try to keep your diet between 1250 and 1400 caloires a day. Write down the number of calories of everything that goes into your mouth (that has calories) Keep a daily log.

You may learn more, but here's a few food suggestions:
Use "Light" bread instead of regular bread. Light bread is only 40 calories per slice and regular bread is 80 calories per slice. Instead of using sugars, use Splenda--it taste jiust as good except it has ZERO calories. Exchange regular soda pops for diet ones. For snacks try sugar free popsicles, pickles (if you can handle the sodium) sugar free jello, and fruit (watch the fruit intake...even though it's healthy they still have CALORIES)

NEVER let yourself get too hungry
NEVER leave the house hungry
NEVER go grocery shopping while hungry

If you allow yourself to get too hungry, you usually make unwise choices in food. Same thing goes if you go grocery shopping while being hungry.

If you leave the house hungry, you can be easily tempted to grab something like a McDonald's Big Mac, order of fries, regular coke and an apple pie which is more than 1500 calories in one whop! (that's more than your 1200 calorie limit)

Due to your knees, I can't suggest an exercise program with the exception of swimming.

Check out the websites below for more helpful tips.

Good luck!!

Try the cabbage soup diet! If you follow it..you will get results. 1 week on the diet and I lost about 20lbs. Be warned though...that any weight loss that is quick fix like this..you will gain the weight back most likely.

that's a stupid idea. Best thing to do is to do your physical therapy for your knee (with a doctor's order) - do your straight leg raises, and other exercises according to what your physical therapist tells you to do. It isn't safe to lose weight fast, and you shouldn't go on a diet without talking to a doctor.

If you want to do it the healthy way, then you can not do it the fast way. Just eat healthier and get about 30 minutes of exercise per day.
