Kristen,

Yes the question is legitimate. Mormons claim the church fell into apostasy. Christ said that could never happen and that the Church would endure to the Parousia. Either the Mormon church is wrong or Christ is a liar.

Ok Mr. G,

How can these Scriptures be interpreted any differently than Christ establishing an enduring Church. Show me where any of His teaching is contradictory to the Scriptures I provided or any Scripture that supports total apostasy of the Church soon after the apostles died. There is no Scriptural or historical proof to your claims. Therefore you and others are calling Christ a liar. May the Lord have mercy.

Every Mormon Temple is topped by the Angel Moroni bringing Man direct from God in Heaven a golden Yard of Beer. What does your church have hanging - the halfing f@ggot god-on-a-stick? Feh.

The Book of Mormon contains *exact* prophesy of Columbus discovering America - correct to the *exact* day. What does your bible have, pi = 3? Twice! Mere 355/113 is correct to seven decimal places. Is your omniscient God, creator of the universe and all that resides within it, a little slow on third grade arithmetic? How did He work out the ten elliptic-hyperbolic simultaneous differential equations that describe gravitation?

Test of faith on General Relativity? Einstein was Jewish.

An Apostasy is the only explanation that I can think of for things that have happened, like the Crusades and the Inquisition. Christians did them in the name of God. I don't think that the God I worship would ask someone to do these things.

Ummmm, I've never heard anyone call Jesus a liar in my church..... We believe all the same things mainstream "Christians" believe, only we have extra scripture to back it up..... It doesn't contradict anything that the Bible teaches, just adds to it....

Oh and we also believe in others having the right to believe in what they believe in without them being judged ..... can you honestly say that about your church?

Is this even a question or are you just trying to find ways to quote the bible and be mean to people?

Are you using one holy book to say that your belief is better than/more right than the belief of another person who has also received their holy writ from god?

Maybe you didn't get the whole message from god; maybe none of us did. Being absolute and judgemental about god's plan is not a wise move....just in case God is up there, I sure wouldn't want to be caught trying to usurp his position.

I'll help you out on this one - Jesus is imaginary. The early christians made him up from scraps of Pagan savior gods and the Jewish Messiah myth.
Therefore, their Jesus fable is just as valid as yours. (Which is to say, not at all.)

i mean some people just dont understand parts of our religon
and when they pick out parts and shove them in our faces they have to understand the 'whole' to understand the little things.
