Actually, a small amount of peanut butter could benefit the cat if it is a longhaired breed because peanut butter is a natural fat and just like margarine or butter, helps the hairballs pass through the digestive system. The cats coat will be have a nice shine too.

My 2 cats LOVE peanut butter (and peanut butter cookies)... it's never made them sick.

Mine will eat it. I do not give them very much, because it does cause some discomfort if they get it stuck in the roof of their mouth. Some people and animals have allergies to peanuts, but if this is not the case, he should be OK eating a little.

Peanut butter, in small amounts, is fine for cats and dogs (my bird loves it too). Just make sure to observe them at all times while they are eating it. Peanut butter can be a choking hazard for small pets (and toddlers too).

sure, but he might have a peanut allergy--but i don't think many cats have it. some cats might have sensitive stomachs and won't tolerate peanut butter.

no not if you give him too much but penut butter should only be used for giving your cat medication. For a treat i suggest giving him vegemite instead

A cat usually won't eat any thing that would harm him.
