Okay so I know it's easy to sign up to volunteer, I've done that, and I've donated blood to the Red Cross, but I was wondering if there's a way for me to apply for a real job there or any other charity. I was hoping for office work since that's what I went to school for and I really am still uncomfortable about going out in the field.

Nonprofits are like any company and many need office workers. Think about the causes that are important to you, and call them and ask if they have openings.
