ok i'm thinking about geting my cartlige pirced does it hurt like really bad??? if u don't kno what i'm talking about its the top of yr ear who's got it done?? and if u have tell me everything that happends like the pain and stuff thanx :)

Being apprehensive is only going to cause an increased feeling of pain. Don't do it until you're absolutely ready.

I did mine at home, I used ice to numb it and then pierced it. It is not that bad. You will feel a sting and then maybe a little sore, but it's not bad. The top of your ear is not very vascular so it does not hurt that bad.
You will however be sore for a few weeks afterward. You prob will not be able to lay on that or even have your hair touch it. It's only for a few days and it is well worth it. I just got my nose pierced and the pain is worth the gain sweetie! DO it and don't be scared. You have to try everything once! If you are still worried take some Tylenol before you go to take the edge off of the pain.

It hurts alot more than gettin ur first or second hole but also alot more dangerous... if it gets to infected u have to get ur ear cut off! im totally serious so b careful!!!!

lol i did mine myself a few years back. i think if i can handle that pain, you can handle going to a shop and getting it done professionally....but dont take my advice on it because i have a really high pain tolerance.
