They all have the same God. Methodist and Catholic are Christian.
A Christian is a person who adheres to Christianity, a monotheistic religion centered on the life and teachings of Jesus of Nazareth as presented in the New Testament. Most Christians believe Jesus to be the Son of God and the Messiah prophesied in the Old Testament.
Methodism or the Methodist movement is a group of historically related denominations of Protestant Christianity.
Protestantism encompasses the forms of Christian faith and practice that originated with the doctrines of the Reformation.
The Roman Catholic Church or Catholic Church is the Christian church in full communion with the Bishop of Rome, currently Pope Benedict XVI. It traces its origins to the original Christian community founded by Jesus Christ and spread by the Twelve Apostles, in particular Saint Peter.

Methodist and Catholics both believe in the same God. They both believe in the Trinity...which is God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

All Christian religions worship the same god, but in slightly different ways. Baptists believe in total submersion at baptism (Jesus was submerged in the river Jordan by John the baptist), catholics must use "holy water", most of the rest just believe some symbolic amount of water will do.
The trinity or triune god concept is not embraced by all Christians like the Jehovah's Witnesses.

God for all Christians, including Methodists and Catholics is:
+ The infinite divine being
+ One in being yet three Persons, the Holy Trinity:
. + Father
. + Son
. + Holy Spirit
God has revealed himself as:
+ The "One who is"
+ Truth and love
+ Creator of all that is
+ The author of divine revelation
+ The source of salvation
And, of course, God is love.
With love in Christ.

The same God for all of those. Incidentally, Methodist is only one type of Christianity.

catholics believe in the Holy Trinity: the Father, Son (Jesus), and the Holy Spirit. i'm 99% sure all Christian denominations believe this.
to da: catholics believe that mary is important, but the question is about God. catholics don't believe mary is God-she's just a servant like we all should be. and she's our mother...but not God!!:) just thought i should add that!!:)
to answer your additional info, Jesus is God, united with the other 2 in the trinity: the Father and the Holy Spirit. they are 3 persons, but one God.
