As long as you can really drive a car and get someone to notice you I don't think it matters what race or sex you are!You have to be good enough to stand above the rest !!

As long as they have talent they have a shot. Everyone has to prove that they are capable of racing. Bill Lester retired from his job and I think in his upper 40's and just recently made it into the NCTS a couple years back. F1 just had their first black driver when last week.....Hamilton Actually won his first race at the Canadian Grand Prix this last weekend not Monte Carlo
NASCAR fans I think are ready for a Black Nextel driver however people who dont know the sport or do not like it give it the stigma that they are still bigots and racists unfortunately which may turn some talent away.

Absolutely! One has even won a Cup event. I think there is opportunity for anyone with the talent and determination to succeed in NASCAR. There are a number of Blacks, Hispanics, even Women working their way through the ranks of the various NASCAR series to one day take their shot at the Cup Series.
Dale Jr. and Carl Edwards have set up Inner-city racing programs to help young kids begin racing and to develop into Professional Race Drivers later in life. In a decade I think we may see one or more of those kids racing door to door and bumper to bumper with Junior and Edwards.
Oh, and right now in F1 (the world's most popular racing series...check the stats Ya'll) the current point leader is a Rookie and he is Black. Lewis Hamilton of the McLaren Mercedes Team has finished in the top 3 in every single F1 Race he has been in so far; and winning the Monte Carlo Grand Prix.

Absolutely, Bill Lester is black and he races in the Craftsman Truck series and cold get a couple of cup races here in the near future.
Times are changing and i think that it will get easier or minorities to get a shot in NASCAR. Years back, you could not say that.
NHRA drag racing was all white a few years ago, and now, a young African American kid by the name of J R Todd is winning Top Fuel Dragster races all the time...and will win a championship in the next few years I'm sure.
It's all about the talent of the drivers, not the color of their skin.

Blacks have already competed in NASCAR Nextel series. At this time there is not a regular full time driver, but I believe that in the near future there will be more.

I dont know if they will ever get the chance to be as good. but look at the pre race ceremonies for the NEXTEL CHALLENGE it was all African american.. to the national athem.. to Michael Jordan, The Green flagger from the Carolina Panthers, and to the "celebrities" all african american..
so they are getting their spot light out and its not really grabbing my eye in anyway.

Of course they do, everyone has a chance to race in Nascar as long as you have the talent to do so. Just exactly what do you mean by "those blacks" anyways?

As long as they are a skillfull driver and have money to use on their race cars, then why not? The color of the driver's skin should keep them from driving in the Nextel Cup.,

I thought there was a black man that sometimes races in the Busch Series. Your color isn't going to prevent anybody from doing something whites can do. All people black, white, mexican or purple could drive a stock car and race.
