You have to be able to fully support yourself and live on your own. You also have to have a GOOD reason that you want to be emancipated (like your parents are abusive). Wanting to get married is usually not a good enough reason for the court to emancipate you.

Basically there is no way to get married without parental consent. You will have to suck it up and wait until 18. If you are really mature enough to get married and really meant to be together waiting 4 years won't make a diff. If you want to be comitted then have a "promise ceremony" like a real wedding but with promise rings that isn't legally binding.

It depends on the state honestly. Despite your emancipation documents, laws regarding sexuality are draconian in this country and will probably treat you like a minor. Look up your state website and locate the section about marriage. There will probably be some clear rules stated in the document somewhere. Getting married involves getting a marriage license and having the wedding officiated by a justice of the peace or appropriate religious official, at which point the document becomes a marriage certificate. In some states you used to be required to undergo a physical exam before getting married, I'm not sure if it is still the case today. All you really need is proof of ID, your papers, and the man would need the same. Just keep in mind, that your emancipated status will probably not trump child-protection laws. If you marry somebody significantly older than you, you might be subjecting them to potential sex offender status down the road.

To get emancipated you have to have a job and be able to show the court that you can support yourself and give reason why you want to be emancipated. Supporting yourself means...roof over your head, groceries, etc...
Your best bet is to get your parents to sign if that is what you really want.
Please read on....
In 2 years you might not even feel the same for this person or vice verse.
Also...I had my parents sign for me to get married at 16...thought I was in love and the whole nine yards...worse mistake I ever made in my young life. Older and wiser now...if I had it to do over again, honestly, I would have graduated high school and gone to college and not gotten married until after that and that is for sure and for certain.
Although later in life I did get my high school diploma and went to college...it would have been much better to get it done when I was young.
Please re-think what you are wanting here.

be cool...

Sweetheart... you need to slow down!!! I understand the wanting to get emancipated part, but darling... you really don't realize how rough it is out here in the real world! I may be opinionated, but but reality will set in and you will realize you made some devastating choices. I don't know what your home life is that would cause you to ask these questions, but I sure hope someone who love you and cares for you deeply will step in and guide you on the right path. I know these aren't the answers you want but I do care for you. I'm praying for you sweetie.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emancipation_of_minors

However, in special circumstances, a minor can be freed from control by their guardian, before turning 18. In most states, the three circumstances in which a minor becomes emancipated are: (1) enlisting in the military [requires parent/guardian consent], (2) marrying [requires parent/guardian consent], (3) obtaining a court order from judge [obviously does not require parent/guardian consent].

Once a minor is emancipated, he/she is nearly equal to an adult, legally speaking. They are completely free from any control by their parent(s) or guardian(s).

Thats still 2 whole years away, which a LOT can happen, especially at that age. I know many people that around that age had been dating forever (years) and then broke up. I wouldnt be worried about that until you reach that age and are sure.

Are you kidding? Why the hell would you want to get married at 16 unless you knocked up your girl?

At 14, you are a child and need to listen to your parents. You may THINK you know what you want, but you do not! You will realize it when you get older
