I don't hate god because i don't believe in him, but I hate the idea of him and what it does to people.

People hate the petty ego images of god that we see in the bible, koran, etc. It's obvious that people have projected their own petty human thought system (based on punishment, reward, special love, etc.) and created this deity. The REAL God is unconditional love and has NOTHING to do with these ego deities.

people in rebellion hate the authority figure over them.
while Jesus offers true love and salvation, many chose to reject and live against Him. David In the Bible=John 3 repented of sin and born again with Jesus as my best friend when I asked him into my heart, amen

I can't imagine that anyone "hates God".
You're just imagining things.
Besides, believing in God doesn't keep people from doing things they want to do - in fact, it gives them an excuse to do those things. Nonbelievers are far more morally disciplined than are believers.

I don't think non-believers hate God. They just don't believe. Big difference. I believe in a highest God (among others), but my perception of God is vastly different from yours. So I don't hate your God. I just vehemently disagree with the anthropomorphic perception of God that's so prevalent in the worlds major religions.

Nobody hates God. They either love him or fear him or don't believe in him. I think it's taking the Lord's name in vein and bearing false witness to claim hatred of God by those you disagree with. That's two commandments you're breaking!

Who hates God? I certainly don't. I just don't believe god exists. That would be like hating Santa for not bringing me a new DS.

Why hating God?
He should hate men. They are so dumb. They believe he's a good old man with a looong beard.

I think that some feel cheated when God takes someone away. Some say this is taking them home. Maybe this is just his way of becoming closer to them? Careful what you ask for?

In a sense, yes. But you can't really hate someone you don't know. They just hate the idea that someone might tell them what to do...especially if it is something they really want to do. Self centered...and self absorbed. Hedonistic...i.e. lives for worldly pleasures.
