We should work for unity! (John 17:20-21, 1 Corinthians 1:10-13, Ephesians 4:1-6)
The only basis of unity must be truth! If any departs from what the Bible teaches to follow a man-made doctrine, then that person has introduced a division. Such division is condemned in the Bible!
We must speak where the Bible speaks, be silent where the Bible is silent, do Bible things in Bible ways, and call Bible things by Bible names.
The Bible knows nothing of "unity in diversity". That is union, but not true unity.
The Bible says we should have "NO divisions" and that we should "ALL speak the same thing" (1 Cor. 1:10).
Jesus said His followers should have such unity that the world may believe that He was sent from the Father (John 17:21). Division causes the world to not believe in Christ!

possibly solidarity will maximum suitable be finished after quite everyone has develop right into a Christian. interior the advise time, public conflicts between different congregations has a tendency to tutor off many non-Christians from exploring Christianity. sure, it would be incredible if all Christians had the the main suitable option solutions and all have been unified as one church, yet for now, we could continuously settle for C.S. Lewis' thought that Christianity is nearly a huge domicile with many rooms. each room has nutrition and fireplaces and regulations, and each man or woman that enters this domicile will ultimately decide for to decide on a room the place that man or woman feels maximum at domicile. yet a Christian who has chosen his room shouldn't criticise somebody else for choosing a different room. particularly, i think of we could continuously all pray that we will sooner or later be unified in Christ.

It would be nice, but it isn't going to happen this side of Christ's return. Splits are caused by human sinfulness, and unity would have to mean some people admitting they were wrong.
For example: given the Roman Catholic doctrine of "Sacred Tradition" and the Pope's "Ex Cathedra" being infallible, they would have to scrap their entire current belief system in order to change.

It's not going to happen, there is too much of a divide within all the religious faiths. And some faiths would rather it stay that way, gives them more power over their followers.

satan wants unity for his NWO and compromising is also for the devil! God does not compromise! Christians need to expose the evil heirarchy and fight all evil spirits and worship the creator only!
