tummy tucks can be excrutiatingly painful, depending on how much tissue must be removed, and implants also can cause considerable pain, the two together, well I am sure you get the picture. Be aware tho, that as long as you get out of bed and move about, the pain will lessen every day. The longer you remain in bed and refuse to move, the more it will hurt when you do, and the longer the pain will last. Movement encourages healing, and helps the circulation remove the results of inflammation so the pain lessens on a daily basis. They will provide you with pain medication, that will lessen the pain, but don't expect it to remove all pain, it won't. It is major surgery you are having, if you follow the instructions of your nurses and your doctor, you should do fine. But, if you refuse to move, if you refuse to cough and deep breath and do all that is necessary to heal, you will find it a long hard painful road, instead of a short hard painful road.

You'll be in substantial pain for the first 3-5 days, but they'll prescribe something good. The pain (especially for the implants) can last for as long as a month, but will slowly get better after the first 2 weeks.

Tummy tuck surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift surgery in India by the company called Forerunners Healthcare .The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less. She paid 30% of the cost she was quoted in America.
Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India. They arrange cosmetic and plastic surgery for foreigners in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as the breast reduction, tummy tuck, facelift and other cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.

Because of the medicines they give you, most likely you will just feel alot of discomfort for a few days but expect slight pain. Nothing too horrible though that you'll regret it.
