Faith love and works are like a three legged stool. You just don't get one without the others. I don't know what you mean by "saving faith", but if what you mean is if you have faith in the fact that Jesus is the Lord, but are loveless and don't put your faith into practice (works) can you still be saved, the answer is no. Because you can't have faith without it's physical manifestation which is love, which results in works.

Dear James O,
When one is saved through faith in God's grace, that person receives the Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit produces Christ-likeness in us.
The fruits of the Spirit- (so the results of walking with God) are listed in Galatians 5:22-23 but the very first of these fruits is: Love.
Saving faith will manifest itself. Faith is united to hope and love.
Faith: See Hebrews 11:1- it's tied in with hope- because we walk by faith and not by sight- so we place our hope in the promises of God.
Hope: Reminds us of our purpose- that we live not just for this life for but we live in a way that honors and pleases God because we love Him and we will get to know the fullness of His love one day.
Love: Love is the greatest of these three because without it your faith and hope will be a dead faith.
Feel free to ask more specifically to ask any details or if there are any Scriptures i can explain to you. i am a youth/college pastor and love to help people with their Bible questions.
Hope that helps. Kindly,
Nickster

If one has saving faith ... one has God (the holy spirit) indwelling them... and if God is Love then one who has God will have Love and one who is saved will have love. Now remember we are all works in progress.. Everyone of us must go though our own struggles and have different things that need healing. So don't automatically assume that someone who is acting hatefully isn't saved. Instead consider that person may have had things happen in their pasts that have caused scars... and they have not yet been healed of those emotional scars. Pray for them knowing that they are in the Lord's and He will help them. Consider what Paul says in 2 Corintians 2 ... He's trying to explain that while he is suffering now it will eventually help them. For when we suffer we learn (this is why we rejoice in our sufferings/trials) so that when someone we meet is suffering we know and can understand and help them. And remember why Paul was suffering at this time. He was suffering because the corinthians were doubting him and saying he wasn't a true minister of the Gospel... He's showing all this love to the very people who were causing him pain in the first place by being hateful. Peace to you :D

I don't believe that faith and love are related, there are many people I love, but don't particularly trust or "have faith" in, not quite sure what you're asking though.

God is perfect love. Your salvation is the conversion of your heart from a heart of stone into a heart of flesh that loves God and loves all people. You are destined to join yourself to God's infinite love for all eternity. Without love you are nothing.

As the SOURCE of salvation is love, then NO.
With the recipient the love may follow rather than precede.

As long as you love God, He will show you how to love. Have faith in that. God bless.
