We are reaping what has been sown, and the results of our harvest is a painful bankruptcy, and a foreclosure on American property, precious liberties, and a way of life. Few of our elected representatives in Washington, D.C. have dared to tell the truth. The federal United States is bankrupt. Our children will inherit this unpayable debt, and the tyranny to enforce paying it.
America has become completely bankrupt in world leadership, financial credit and its reputation for courage, vision and strife for justice. This is an undeclared economic war, bankruptcy, and economic slavery of the most corrupt order! Wake up America! Take back your Country."

What concerns me the most is how wildly polarized the answers to your question are. True, they're mostly from uninformed / uneducated teens (at least I hope so!), but with such animosity how do plan on finding a "middle ground"?
Or is it that we've compromised SO much over the last 30 years (on everything) that we're now backed into a metaphorical corner on some issues? Personally, I DO think that's the case with immigration--we've compromised WAY too much. We really are at a "no more deals" impasse with this.
It's a mess.

Is it me or have we lost money and stability in the past seven years?
We also can't single out Democrats or Republicans.. since you need a vote by the majority, the blame is left on all of them. So, no one needs to hold onto their wallets, just shut their mouth long enough to listen and pay attention to what's going on.
America is about to lose everything it stands for... Dignity and Independence where legal US citizens have the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. We will turn into "that country" that no one wants to put their money into.. can you say great depression.
All illegals, no matter the country, pack it up and go home!! You're creating a civil unrest and dividing this great land of liberty!
We don't owe you anything. So what if you do all the low paying jobs, you CHOSE to do them since you are an illegal you probably don't speak English very well and probably lack the education to sustain a high paying job. Learn the language and work for a firm as a translator, you can get paid once you become a citizen. If everyone wants to say how hard you work.. work hard at rebuilding your country so you won't drain our resources and you will end up back where you started.. with almost nothing.

Being awake about it isn't enough. Something must be done. We need to find a middle ground, and stop with the blame game. Both sides seem to think they are right, but the reality is that most people are middle of the road. We need a presidential team that reflects both sides. I know it won't happen, but if we could get a Pres. and a VP. from two different parties, that will either shut us down, or start solving real problems.

A new party line aimed at just that.

I really don't see that big of a change actually. The major changes I see will be a couple hundred thousand not passing background checks or failing to show up to apply for a visa and getting deported.I see wages going up because no employer will be able to pay low wages.I do see more out sourcing in the future and many immigrants returning to their homeland because jobs will be scarce. That's what I see.

"All great societies collapse. Corruption and greed are the catalysts, and the US is well on it's way down..."
Well said, EVERY single super power has fallen at some point. Yes we are the dominant force right now,
but not for long...
war,
war never changes.

All great societies collapse. Corruption and greed are the catalysts, and the US is well on it's way down. The next presidential election is the most important is history. If we get another corporate pimp then it will be over.

I'm glad you made such a reasonable statment with evidence and such. Because if you didn't people wouldn't believe you.
Our debt is what, 40% of our GDP? Better than most Africian countries. And we're not facing rebellions, and don't have a completly corrupt government on top of that.

I am considering a move to Australia.
America will never recover from Leave No Illegal Alien Behind nor will it recover from the unfunded Social Security and Medicare trust funds which amnesty for 20 million illegals and their 100 million relatives will only make worse.
