Im totally not convinced by global warming. I;ve seen the evidence and its clear that climate change is 1: not driven by human activity and 2: not going to be a catastrophe.
Anyway, how much CO2 did Gore put into the atmosphere promoting that stupid film?
Who's with me?

To the best of my knowledge CO2 results from heat and not the cause of raising temperatures.
The ocean emits far more C02 than anything else here on earth.
In fact C02 is a vital part of everything on this planet which is alive, it is in itself life.
So Al Gore should have his head examined by a team of experts who specializes in the field of Psychiatric illnesses.
Along with everyone else he has brainwashed into believing we are the cause of earth's ever changing temperatures.
Also did you know that the sun is mainly responsible for fluctuations in earths temperatures?
It is and it's the suns spots and solar flares which contribute to the heating and cooling phases we experience from time to time throughout history.
When there are few sunspots we have relatively cold and wet weather and in some areas freezing temperatures that cause tremendous amounts of snow fall.
But when there are an abundant amount of sunspots and solar flares such as there are right now we have hot and dry weather with more natural disasters such as hurricanes and tornadoes.
I'm sure Al Gore knows all of this but nevertheless is trying to cash in on this natural occurance before it ends when the sun spots decrease in numbers.
It's all a part of the big picture to turn America into a Socialist Nation by taking away our freedoms and ability to support and provide for ourselves.
Al Gore is making a fortune off of this and so are countless others who all drive the same vehicle to scare you so you will give them your money.
People need to wake up and realize they are being scammed and fooled by cons and liars and if they don't wake up and realize this then one day they will be left scratching their heads wondering "Why are we living in a third world Country?" "What happened to the once free America we once knew?"
And Al Gore will be nowhere to be found.

Well.. all politicians are full of crap.
But going back to your point, can you share the evidence? because most weather and climate scientists in the world are pretty sure there is a lot going on, so I kind of rather believe them than you (or even Gore for that matter).
Also, common sense says that all that crap that we pump and pump into the atmosphere has consequences. The planet has an ecosystem and once you alter it changes are bound to happen. So, if you believe that we can keep polluting and nothing is going to happen, wake up from your dream.
I don't know if the consequences are as catastrophic as they paint them. But I know that we -as a species- have been very irresponsible with the environment and need to change for the better. There are plenty of examples of people running their environment and paying a huge price for it. Check Eastern Island or plenty of places in the middle east....
And he may have put a lot of CO2 in the atmosphere promoting it, but:
Why do you care if you don't believe in global warming?
It was worth for getting the word out, and it is certainly a lot less than has been used by the deniers and big polluters to deny it.

Why are you people so obsessed with Al Gore? He was just presenting the scientific evidence for man-made global warming, and the experts have said his film was very accurate.
"The nation's top climate scientists are giving An Inconvenient Truth, Al Gore's documentary on global warming, five stars for accuracy."
http://www.usatoday.com/tech/science/2006-06-27-gore-science-truth_x.htm
If you still don't trust Al Gore, then forget him. Go find the evidence yourself and examine it. Read the IPCC report, which is written by the best climate scientists in the world and a summary of hundreds if not thousands of scientific studies.
http://ipcc-wg1.ucar.edu/wg1/wg1-report.html
Or if you don't want to read the whole thing, just read the Summary for Policymakers which is just 18 pages long and summarizes the science very well and contains lots of nice charts and graphs.
Just stop letting your prejudice against Al Gore blind you and learn about the issue before jumping to conclusions.

You might want to review some of your sources and make decisions based on reliable evidence. You included many links, I only looked at the very first and very last ones.
The first one is a TV programme produced by Martin Durkin, his objective is to cause controversy which he openly admits to. To this end he has produced a string of controversial programmes on a range of subjects about which he has no knowledge (his admission not mine). No mainstream broadcaster will air his work because of it's gross inaccuracies and deliberate distortions of the truth. Do a Google search for Martin Durkin to see just how reliable he is.
The last link is to an article written by astrophysicist Sallie Baliunas. Hardly the best source for climate data, so far no less than thirteen people have raised objections to the way Baliunas has taken their data, distorted it then republished it; if you're going to do this you can rewrite anything.
Her work on climate change has been roundly discredited and shown to be inaccurate. She has conducted research into climate change but instead of basing it on temperature chose to base it on moisture levels in the atmosphere - one of the most variable and unreliable methods that could have been adopted.

global warming is a topic that cannot be proven nor disproven. however, it would be safe to assume that the unnatural release of all of our CO2 and the elimination of all those rainforests isnt very good. so even if u disagree with gore, u cannot single handedly disprove global warming...especially since a global panel of the world's top scientists agreed that it exists at a UN summit on environmental issues. take that into consideration before blasting gore and his "stupid" film.

Here's a theory
Maybe the planet is too cold to replace the ice caps that have retreated. Cold climate, no vaporization. No vaporization, no clouds. With no clouds, how can snow and ice get back to the poles. Maybe a rise in temperature will get things back to normal.
While I concede that there are many ways we could be doing things better I don't believe what we are doing has any bearing on what might be happening climate wise.

Not me! It doesn't take many brain cells to put two and two together, and realise this age which has industrialised and habitually ignored the consequences, now must face up to its ignorance in the name of progress.
Global warming, or greenhouse gases, are no less dangerous than setting fire to a house and killing everyone in it from smoke inhalation, and don't get me started on smoking and inhaling.
I hope those of us who have the courage to stop being in denial, and want to do something about it, will stop letting others drown us out with their lack of enthusiasm to help do things to make a difference.

I am AMAZED! how little pro-global warming people study of the other side of the issue. Here your giving even SCIENTIFIC AMERICAN, PBS Nova, Science Daily and NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC web sites and people like Trevor don't even bother to study those highly credible sites before arguing the same arguments they always do.
At least I bother to study every single pro-global warming site and study that has been recommended to me. If you censor your own mind from information, how can you call your thoughts your own. Information has to be compared and contrasted. Please check out the following sites and then answer the gentleman's question:

Al Gore is a very clever man, he`s trying to make the hole in ozone layer as big as possible so he can carry on flying around the world telling everybody about it.
On a more serious note I`m still not convinced about global warming, it`s happened before without our help. Don`t forget a lot of money is being made out of it.

Forget Al Gore. He has nothing to do with the science of global warming.
And global warming has been scientifically proven to be correct.
The conclusive data:
EDIT: The second link has hundreds of references to data in the peer reviewed scientific literature. There's no way to list even a small part of it here, so you have to go to the link and download it. I have put just one under Source here.
http://www.globalwarmingart.com/wiki/Image:Climate_Change_Attribution.png
http://ipcc-wg1.ucar.edu/wg1/wg1-report.html
summarized at:
http://www.ipcc.ch/SPM2feb07.pdf
In science a theory is proven when the scientific community accepts that the data proves it. There is no "Supreme Court" to make that decision, and there are always a few skeptics. The community has spoken:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scientific_opinion_on_climate_change
http://www.sciencemag.org/cgi/content/full/306/5702/1686
"There's a better scientific consensus on this [climate change] than on any issue I know - except maybe Newton's second law of dynamics. Global warming is almost a no-brainer at this point,You really can't find intelligent, quantitative arguments to make it go away."
