Have just put a radiator in a 97 dodge ram. The problem is, I cant seem to get the transmission cooling line hooked back up to the radiator. It pulled off with vice grips, but now it will not push back on. Am I doing something wrong and if so how do I get the piece back on?

It requires a special tool to get the fittings apart, and you ruined the fittings when you pulled them apart. The tool is very inexpensive and comes with 2 sizes of removal collars. When you get your new lines, at least request to see the removal tools.

as you pulled it off with vice grips you probley bent the snap rings that hold it in place. they tool is the same kind of tool that is used for fuel lines. you know there is a problem if it doesn't snap on easily . do down and either get a new hose or have them put a new fitting on if possible. good luck man

eliminate the air purifier. eliminate the a/c compressor and devoid of removing hoses, lay it over in the direction of the passenger side. This makes the bolts protecting the thermostat housing available.
