I may be wrong, but I honestly think that Christianity, Islam and other religions will collapse with increasing speed, because of the Internet.
Information will prove deadly to such mythologies - the enemy of Religion has always been information. The question is - will religious fundamentalists allow the planet to survive long enough for this collapse to occur? It will surely not be long before Islamic or Christian fundamentalists use chemical or nuclear weapons to 'destroy the unbelievers', as their holy text commands. Both the Bible and the Koran order such destruction, and any fundamentalist is a risk to society because of his or her total belief in violent texts.

An alligator and a false prophet have a lot in common. And there are ministers of Satan in pulpits because the Bible warns us of it. That could be your slither and sliding in the swamp thing. Perfect love casts out all fear. Snap and grab is like snatch out of the fires of hell so they can be in heaven with us. Sinners are innocent - not really. We've all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. That insatiable hunger is "Man can't live by bread alone, but by every Word that proceeds out of the mouth of God." The Word of God is fulfilling. The first thing Christ did when He came into the temple grown was to chase out the religiosity and traditions of men that polluted the temple. Jesus Christ walked among the religious and they didn't even know Him. No wonder when He comes this next time He will split the eastern sky open so He'll get their attention.

Dude, how many things do you have to “just believe” are there because your brain and time management would just not allow for you to research the subject?! I don’t believe in gravity, air, Zeus, my great-great-great-great grandfather, the ozone, oh gosh, do you really need me to go on? Sorry, can’t hold with your definition of faith or belief. It’s incomplete. I totally believe my good friend when she tells me that someone said ****-you to her even if I haven’t heard it from the other 4 people that were there! At some point I have to trust my friend that she’s had “an experience” and that she believes it happened. And my friend’s pretty smart. Probably smarter than most of the people on this forum. I question when people say they’re something and never do research on it. There are way too many people out there that say they’re Christians and don’t read the bible or go to church to find more information. Do I think a Muslim has to go to my church to be fully informed of his own faith – no. He believes because he had an experience, who am I to question that? All I can do is answer people when they ask me; “why do you believe what you believe?” I ain’t gonna make anyone do anything they don’t choose too and it would be ignorant of me to think they were that weak and could be “hypnotized” into believing what I believe just because I told them about me. I don’t have powers like that dude! And for the record; I’ve met a lot of Muslim, Jewish, and Christian dudes that are pretty smart. It’s people who lie that bug me.
