This appointment is to look at my teeth and what type of braces I need. What else will they do? What type should I get? Please give me info on all the different types of braces. How much will the insurance cover? Thanks

There are clear ceramic braces if you want to be discreet. There are plain silver ones and with those you can choose silver as a color and that is also pretty discreet. Or you can get colors. It just depends on what you want. Then there are also gated brackets and normally your Orthodontist will decide if he wants to use those. Insurance here in Texas normally covers $1500. The 1st appointment they will probably just look to see if you are a candidate for braces and then after that they will take x-rays, photos, and impressions.

more than likely they'll take some x-rays, then take impressions (stick a littlle tub of goo in your mouth to make a mold of your teeth) and pictures of your teeth.nothing scary don't worry!!i think plain metal ones are the best as colors look weird sometimes....dont know about the insurance cover...sorry!!
good luck!

im pretty sure they will decide the type of braces that best suites you. also they might take molds of your teeth which means they put this thing in ur mouth to see how ur teeth are. kind of like a record. it doesnt hurt or anything. so dont worry

well the clear ones discolor (and they look gross when they do that) and some of the colors look like you got food stuck in your teeth (colors like green, yellow) - depends. Plain metal looks better in my opinion.

They just talk to you and tell you the price and how long you're going to have braces on for. Dont be worried at all!
