Growing up I was never allowed to be sick. I was always told to suck it up and deal with it. This ment no matter how sick I was I still had to go to school. I remember being in the bathroom throwing up and being asked how long I was going to be because I was going to be late for school. One time I threw up in the car, was brought back home to change and taken back to school.

I was always told that they better not get a call from the school becuase they would not pick me up. One time the teacher sent be to the nurse because I looked so bad. Even through I was running a 104 fever my mom told the the school that there was no way for them to pick me up which was not true. I then got punished when I got home for trying to get out of school.

Even on none school days I was expected to get up, get dressed and treat it like it was a normal day. There are many more storys of of this. As you can guess I had perfect attendance and got all of the awards. Anyones parents like this?

Most school districts and some parents are wrong with this "perfect attendance" crap. School kids who go to school even when ill just to get a 'perfect attendance" trophy should be reprimanded. Why, because they get everyone else sick!

A 104 fever and still making you got to school. I find that hard to believe! You were bumping right up there against being brain damaged or being terminal. You should have been at the doctor's or in the hospital.
This is not to mention the danger you posed to the other students and faculty catching what you had.
If you'd came into my class room like that I would have sent you home. If your parents didn't come pick you up then I would have called the police or EMS to come get you.

Wow that's crazy!!! I was not treated that way, but I have some students in the fourth grade who deal with the same issues.I had 8 kids this year whom had perfect attendance. I guess some parents feel it is very important, but if my child were ever really sick I would never allow him to go to school. The teachers don't want to get sick themselves yeah know. =)

no but that is just plain wrong. your parents obviously dont care. did you have a sister or bro that was always trying to get out of school? maybe your parents didnt want you to do the same. i would have told the nurse that they wouldnt come and pick me up because i wasnt allowed to be sick.

solid lord - it particularly is particularly abuse. i'm intense! i'm sorry that befell to you. That purely befell to me one time yet my mom theory i replaced into attempting to get out of a attempt. when I threw up in college she had to return get me. She felt undesirable for sending me. i'm particularly sorry that befell to you. this is heartbreaking that your mothers and fathers compelled you to bypass to college like that. That replaced into abusive

If what you say is true, then this was a case of criminal child abuse.
