Of course I m not surprised! OK I admit there are some black sheep in the Islamic community. every Muslim is not an angel but I don;t get the point that people blame Islam and put ISlam on trail when it is a HUMAN fault. I mean, do u blame the car when the driver goes n crash it?
as for those "voilent quotations" in the Quran, I have been giving explanations of how they have been misquoted. But people still don't want to read on their own but instead, accept what others say.
or should i say accept what they want to accept?

There is nothing surprising in this. Islam was built on the fundaments of peace, tolerance and brotherhood.
The dealings of the Prophet, may God praise him, with other religions can best be described in the verse of the Quran:
“To you be your religion, to me be mine.”
“Whoever kills a person who has a truce with the Muslims will never smell the fragrance of Paradise.” (Saheeh Muslim)
The best example of the tolerance shown by the Prophet to other religions may be the constitution itself, called the ‘Saheefah’ by early historians. When the Prophet migrated to Medina, his role as a mere religious leader ended; he was now the political leader of a state, governed by the precepts of Islam, which demanded that clear laws of governance be laid out to ensure harmony and stability in a society which once had been distraught by decades of war, one which must ensure the peaceful coexistence of Muslims, Jews, Christians and polytheists. Due to this, the Prophet laid down a ‘constitution’ which detailed the responsibilities of all parties which resided in Medina, their obligations towards each other, and certain restrictions which were placed on each. All parties were to obey what was mentioned therein, and any breach of its articles was regarded as an act of treachery.

jesus taught us that if we dont have LOVE we are not his.
but he also taught that swords were for His followers.
however the bible has a teaching as well, about respect, and it is called a SIN to respect others. We are to treat everyone as our equals, not as inferior human beings. And though moses taught that servitude and slavery is ordained of God. Men are to be FREE and that we are to ALL repent of our sins.
We will all be slaves and servants of God, but there will be an appointed time when Even God will Set Free His servants. Only the sons of perdition are cast out into outer darkness.

Sounds like He was a very smart individual (Prophet)hopefully
one day we will listen to one another and find our similarities
and common ground without prejudice and suspicion before
extremist from both sides ruin this world that our creator has
given to us. How can someone that is supposed to love their God, not love his children. That makes no sense to me. When innocence get killed or murdered for no reason Christian or
Muslima, GOD will hold them accountable. Like I've said before WE are all Children of the GOD of Abraham,Isaac and
Jacob.......May God Bless and Keep You All

I knew that and my answer is another question....why don't the Muslims preach that to the Muslim radicals today? You never hear that on the news. And of course, Muhammed was quite the liberal and the first one he selected to voice a morning prayer to the crowd was a black man. I really did appreciate your question as well as answering it and I hope a lot of the Yahoo world reads all the answers. Peace to all sentient beings.

Doesn't surprise me at all. Islam is one of the most tolerant religions and the prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was the man with one of the most beautiful and great personalities and agendas.

Thanks sis for sharing!
Islam is the true religion of peace, love and confidence. Its the religion that God wants all of us to follow and it will take us on the right way to heaven(In shaa Allah).
And Mohamed(PBUH) was our prophet who showed us the light of Islam and gave us the massage of God(Quran). He is the best person who ever came to this world.
We thank God that we are Muslim, and we thank him for sending his prophet Mohamed(PBUH).

What surprises me is that you are still actively trying to sell your religion after 911, the London bombings, the Bali bombings which were all done by Muslims.
