There is one particular operation called Agrotors, that I know of. I'm just curious if there's any other "companies" that do it and how long it's been done.

*Haverfield Corporation, the leading provider of aerial power line inspection and maintenanceservices to the electric power industry, has announced Friday they have completed the purchase of the AgRotors powerline assets. With the asset purchase, Haverfield has increased its helicopter fleet from 8 to 13 and added to its staff of highly trained, expert pilots and linemen. This acquisition clearly establishes Haverfield as the premier provider of helicopter powerline services.

There are a bunch of companies that perform live-line work from helicopters. I think that live-line technique was developed in the late 1980's.
