Why get offended so much when we question your God's omnipotence/etc.? I asked a question about if God could "sin" because he's always benevolent (e.g., he could order us all to kill (he does, btw, in the Bible) and it would be GOOD and JUST because he's perfect (and even while it contradicts him if + while he ordered the opposite).

Perhaps (some of) you Christians are so offended by homosexuals (for being different from you) that my mentioning Jesus being able to partake in homosexual activites was fine for him since he *is* God and God can do whatever he wants (omnipotent, remember?) that you wanted the question taken off.

Going to take this one down too? Because it "offends" you? Because you're homophobes? Because it makes your heads hurt to think?

emmapeel66, I wish there were more Christians like you. You're the normal ones. Quite sure the ones who take down "offending" questions are fundamentalists.

"that doesn't mean that we have to agree."
Correct, but no need to report for abuse when need not be. Just disagree and move on.

You can say whatever you want. I'm not offended in the least. Also, it doesn't hurt my head to think. Some Christians just can't handle a different opinion than theirs. I'm guessing in reality they are very insecure in what they believe and would feel better if everyone believed the same way. Sorry some of us are such jerks.

First off I wouldn't report your question or statement that Jesus can partake in homosexual activities. Does it offend me yes. However it is your right to say what you want.. just like it is mine. God is omnipotent, however he is also perfect (without sin) and according to the Bible (which I understand is not your personal belief) homosexuality is a sin. Therefore using my own personal Christian beliefs and the Bibles teaching I can deduct that Jesus didn't participate in homosexual activities because he was without sin... and it doesn't make me want to attack you. Oh and my head does not hurt either, and that involved thinking. By the way...what if you are a gay person who happens to be a Christian ( I am not) but I do believe there are Gay Christians out there..so would that mean they offend themselves?

For the record, I am not a homophobe I love Gay people. I think that they are sinning, but I am not going to judge them. God did not give me that authority.. thats his job.. what he did was command me to love everyone even when I don't like what they are doing or saying..

What exact verse in the Bible are you referencing where he orders us to kill? The old testament while useful for teaching and learning, are not the set of laws that Christians live by Jesus died and it changed the laws for us.. I would love to know if you located that in the new or old testament, otherwise we cannot properly answer the quesiton on the whole God sinning thing because we do not know where you are coming from or what you are referencing.

No, everyone is entitled to their own opinions. But sometimes, people can say insulting things about God or Jesus that can be offending. Those questions up there don't offend me at all. You're just curious and wanting some answers. If you were to say "I don't believe in God" then I wouldn't find that offending, just your opinion. And by the way, I'm not homophobic at all. I have a good friend who is gay.

It sounds like you are pretty upset about having questions deleted, and I can appreciate that a question that you think is appropriate gets deleted, because someone else takes offense.

Let me share something that I hope you will take as food for thought.

More Christians would be understanding of homosexuals, if the homosexuals were not pushing their agenda on Christians. Instead, let us get to know you as individuals, instead of hearing: I'm a homosexual and you have to accept my homosexual relationship or you are homophobic. Name calling never results in acceptance and only furthers the division.

I'd rather get to know you as a person. And by the way, I am friends with a homosexual, but we agreed a long time ago that what each other does in the bedroom is private and our respective homosexuality and heterosexuality is never a subject of conversation. I realize that he is in a relationship with another man, and we get along just fine because we like each other as the wonderful people we are.

If I've learned anything from spending time in this forum, it's that as a Christian, I cannot push salvation's message on anyone and expect it to be accepted. And the same goes for homosexuality. Let us get to know you as a compassionate person, rather than just as the label. And we will like you and probably be more sympathetic because we will care about you as a person. Your needs are then important to us.

I'm not a Christian, but I thought you could use a hug. Try not to take it so personally when people report you. It's just in the nature of some to do so.

no, you have the right to speak, just as much as everyone else. but it also seems that there is a double standard that when we express an opinion and you get offended that it is suddenly a hate crime. we have the same right to free speach as you do. that doesn't mean that we have to agree.

I'm not a christian, but I have to wonder why they report anything that is in question to what they believe. Are they that insecure? Are we hitting a nerve? Some deep questioning that they've had themselves and feel guilty about? I dunno.. it is something to consider.
