Cats small agile bodys allow them to extend their body and weight making it so less shock on a certain place. This is the reason the don't really get hurt unless the force divided about 500%(about the amount they decrease on each area of body) would injure or kill a cat. Cats always land on their feet because of their tail. There tail balances them so the can flip over in a split-second before they fall upside down. Also the whiskers a very sensitive. They increase reaction time because they right away know whats happening. Combine all these things and you have a cat on its feet safe on the ground.

P.S. the cat wont be happy though! I just dropped my cat upside down on the couch to test it and shes mad.

The cats have very good muscle control. By using their tails as a rudder and muscles in their bodies they can turn themselves over in mid air.

it depends how fast and high it falls from, but they sometines break bones when they land verry hard, so if u live on a high place, don't leave the windows open!!!
but they are quick and steady with their tail, that helps them move, run, jump,, walk, and even land in a certain way
