no i think that you have not done much time studying the bible if you did you would see it is true

all of the places talked about are true
a huge amount of people in the bible have been proved real
and events in there can be found in other text of the time like Jesus' execution was recorded down by the scribe in the court

also when looking for something the bible has been used by archaeologist

the bible is the true accounts of the people that believe in God

this is more then can be said by other religions about their text
so get the facts before speaking and looking very stupid for saying things like that

Same reason you believe its not true.. its our right. By the way there is a huge difference between Harry Potter and the Bible... The actually do have some scientific evidence backing the Bible.. try googling it. Also Harry Potter books are realistic, they do use some real incantations and a lot of the names JK Rowling uses are deceased people that practiced witch craft...but I am sure you already know that. There is an entire spirit realm.. you should also look up Harry Potter and its relation to witch craft..you will find some interesting articles from people that practiced the craft aka magick that are now Christians because of the things they have seen.. as well as some people that still practice.
By the way, I do not believe Wicca is the same as witch craft/ magick I do believe that wiccans are a nature loving group not a group that is into devil worshiping.. I also do not believe Harry Potter worships the devil either. However, the books do encourage and condone rule breaking, and lying if it benefits you..not exactly what I consider upstanding morality. I do think they make good movies though.. they are quite entertaining, but I wouldn't let my kids read or watch them.
side note: If you don't believe in the Bible why do you use Christ's name... why not just say for Bob's sake? (no offense to any Bobs out there).

How can you not believe it? You will believe that Harry Potter can fly throught the air, or do magical things but you can't believe that God who created this world, sent his only son to die for you? You can't believe that he healed the sick, you can't believe that he raised people from the dead even though there were eye witnesses but you can believe a make believe person such as Harry Potter is more believable. It would be different had there not been any witnesses to the things that Jesus did but there were many witnesses. It's a shame that people who are such doubters can't come face to face with some of those eye witnessess. People for get that the Bible is by some 40 authors some were there when many of the events happen - do you believe that, that many liars put the Bible together? So many believe in science yet everytime they say some is good for you, it's alright to eat, or use - they'll come back 10 yrs later after people start dying and tell us they were wrong after all. - There's nothing in the Bible that can be proven untrue. If anything things have happened, have been foretold and they did come true - Read it and read it with an open heart asking God to reveal to you the truth. I guarantee you will change your mind and your heart.

Do you honestly believe that History Books are telling the complete truth? Even science books continously and constantly are being updated for a new believable findings and proving previous findings as wrong or incomplete.
How can you say Harry Potter is more realistic? Have you seen anyone flying above your house playing catch and throw? Or did you see ever get to see an owl delivering mails by your door step?
For Christ's sake also, learn to know what faith is in its deepest sense. By then you may come to understand how it is possible to believe the unbelievable.

Look at this earth..look at the heavens..
You cannot see the wind , but you can feel its power...

Comparing Harry Potter to the Bible ..not even close..

Have you ever read the Bible? The entire Bible? Its an amazing book..and when you read it , you know that man couldn't make this up..this book..the wisdom in it is awe inspiring as it was meant to be..
I don't see how one cannot believe it is true.
Just my thoughts..thanks

Do you think that this question is for "Christ's sake?" What is in the Bible is for those to believe or not to believe. Unlike Jesus, Harry Potter will save no one.

God Bless You

I'd like to place the text of "Where the Wild Things Are" somewhere in a copy of the Bible, wait around 30 years, then give it to a fledgling Christian and watch the fun unravel.

The Bible is a collection of ancient writings.
They go back at least 4000 years in history.
There are many types of literature included:
history, poetry, fiction, myth, etc.

All of it is considered useful for teaching.
But only a few fundamentalists insist that
everything be taken literally.

Ooooooh I'm so looking forward to the new Harry Potter movie. My sister is practically hopping up and down every time she sees a preview.

People believe the Bible because (1) they were indoctrinated to believe and (2) it enables their religious faith.
