Well, you shouldn't be giving your dog human food in the first place. If she doesn't like dry food, you could try canned food (my dogs love it) or they make special sauces that can go on dry foods to make them better tasting. Once dogs are hooked on human food, it is hard to get them off of it!!!

Hi

It's difficult to know what to do for the best these days isn't it with all the scares about commercial dog food. Unfortunately human food can be just as bad for them and what you perhaps need to look at is preparing some specific Homemade Dog Food recipes. You need to be careful to ensure that you use ingredients which are suited to a dog's digestive system and I have put a couple of links in the sources box which may be helpful.

Hope it helps.

Regards

Paul

If you got her into the habit of eating human food it's hard to break that habit. She's had the taste of it now. One thing you can do is restrict her to vegetables and regular dog food. Just give her no meat.
Another thing is don't be merciful on the food part restrict her to the dog food. If she gets hungry enough she will eat it.

There are sauces you can put on your dog's food. It will tastes like gravy and will help your dog eat her food. Try feeding her before you eat. She will be full and not want to beg for human food. If your dog is a water dog(like a lab or Chesapeake), a little fat is ok. They need it for their coats.

The dog is just going back to prime instincts.I the wild they ate raw meat and eat sees you eating meat , a triger-pray responce is activated in the back of the dogs mind.Let it eat human food for a while, its primal instincts will return to there present domesticated state in a while.

Mix, your dogs food with some baccon grease, or some small chopped scraps. Also consider changing the brand of your dogs food to something that she will eat. But please dont be feeding her a lot of human food its not healthy for the dog.

Give her ONLY what you want her to eat. When she gets hungry enough she will eat it. IF she still does not, she might not like the smell of it. Try a different brand. Trust your pets nose.
