The respnses here are interesting. So blindly dogmatic in their content. You can bet that they were written by 13 year old kids with no concept of what war is really like.

This is a guaranteed way to avoid the draft. Volunteer of your own free will to give back to this great nation for what it has given us. Service to the United States of America should be mandatory for all qualified citizens, men and women both. If we were under mandatory service now, America would be at war and not the Army. The best deterrent to terrorism is a strong willing country. As it stands now, the citizens of the United States are not at war, they are going about everyday life as usual, sacrificing absolutely nothing. Then have the balls to avoid a draft and run the other way, if you run, keep running, America doesn't need your cowardly butts!

Oh, good GAWD... The Republican's aren't even talking about a draft... the Dem's are talking about it to scare the crap out of youthful voters, in hopes they'll vote democratic in the next election... and the Dem's certainly aren't going to be responsible for reinstating the draft...

Relax... sheeesh...

The draft will never be reinstated - we'd fall apart before that would happen.

Look at it this way - at least it'll help your kids become responsible adults.

If they reinstated the draft (not going to happen), there is no way to dodge it.

Canada no longer accepts draft dodgers.

There is already a back-door draft for people in Iraq.

I think a real Vet, would understand the importance of service to his/her country, therefore not wanting to help his children dodge a draft.

The best course to take if one is drafted to fight in a war one finds morally repugnant is to stand up and resist, not to run away. But you knew that, didn't you?

Tell them to say "I'm gay" if there was ever a draft(which i doubt) and they want to run - good riddance

I refuse to believe a veteran would want his sons to dodge the draft. How un-American of you.

Maybe you should just move to Canada and be done with it.

Nemisis I am a veteran. Its probably you who aren't.

If you want to keep the draft inactive, vote Republican. The Dem's are the only ones who want it
