I was surfing the home page last year and came across a religious rant by a user named, "Elmo the Stoner". It made me laugh and I haven't left R&S since.

What's your story?

Oooooh I remember Elmo the Stoner. He was pretty darn funny. Where has he been??

Anyhow, I honestly can't recall how I found Yahoo! Answers. I know that sounds weird since I use it so much now, but I really don't recall. I probably searched for something on the main Yahoo search page and got results from Y!A, checked it out, found it interesting and signed up.

I stick around because I like the format and I love the friends I've made.

I have a love of myths and lore of all countries, and saw the myth section in Yahoo Q&A, next I thought R&S (just below myths) to be an active extension of these beliefs, (not just myths) and as I visit festivals around the Bay area. (The Scottish festivals and the various native American tribal festivals, Greek Orthodox church festival, oh, and the Indian independence day festival in Fremont in Aug), have all combined to addict me.
Oh, since I have been here I also stay for the humor also. (Dark humor and kinder stuff.) I also like how hard people push others buttons and get a reaction, and I really admire the personalities that people maintain, even though they are nothing like this in real life. (WSIDR comes to mind.) Also being here I see humanity at it's worse or best depending on their reaction to a question.
Wonderful year for me here, well except Aug-Oct last year many left due to over sensitive people reporting everything:( - glad that's over.
Many are back which is very nice!

I started out on the homeschooling forum. Every other question was about socialization. Got old fast :p

Answer Faerie responded to a question in which she said she was an atheist homeschooling mom, which caught my attention, as so am I. I read a few of her answers here on R&S, and I have been here ever since.

I heard there was a mechanical demon that had a few short circuited wires and some burned out brain sensor switches, as a electrician and with a degree in electronics I thought I would be able to repair it. no hope. burned out capacitors. and the squeaky wheels.

basically got barred from the other worlds after that night in the food and drink forum... blood mary recipe was good tho!
no puns please.? I just wish you could tell some jokes here. That yanswer i gave about the dynamite was realistic , i thought!

I came on the general answers page 1st. Then I noticed the great avatars for R&S and started clicking on their q's... not really noticing that it was R&S though, I'm visual, so I noticed the pictures 1st. Uncle Wayne, WSIDR, Laptop and Gandalf were the 1st avatars I noticed, then I realized they were all in the same category, which I love, and I haven't left since.

blessings :)

Believed or not I enter YA because my kids found the place.
I believe my first question was about a Pokemon.
R&S is definetly the best Category.

I'm stuck.

Me and another guy were playing off each other. At first, he was George Bush, I was Dick Cheney. We then changed it to Sidious Bush, Darth Cheney. It turned out he was an atheist like myself. And I followed him here. This was earlier this year.
